Fla. Appeals Court Reverses $24.2 Million Verdict in Asbestos Case (Law.com via Yahoo! Finance)
A Florida appeals court reversed a $24.2 million verdict Wednesday, striking a jury award to a surgeon who claimed asbestos exposure caused his terminal cancer. In a unanimous unsigned opinion, the three-judge panel remanded Stephen Guilder's product liability lawsuit against Honeywell International and ordered a new trial.
